Interesting article. But: the High Middle Ages, which we usually think of as the "Medieval" period, was roughly from 1000-1250 C.E., and the Late Middle Ages ended circa 1500. The Catholic Counter-Reformation begam with the Council of Trent in 1534, which is actually early Renaissance. That said, glad the fig-leaves disappeared.....---LMN
